The Shire Futures’ Project Incorporated is a not for profit organisation and chaired by retired Cronulla MLA, Malcolm Kerr AOM.
It engaged with the community to assess areas where improvements can be made in the quality of life of Shire residents.
On 16 July 2013, the Shire Futures’ Project Incorporated hosted information sessions on Aged Care at the Miranda RSL Club. Topics covered included Centrelink implications, Aged Care Facilities – what to expect, Financial Planning – smart strategies, and Legal aspects that are involved with the many options for Aged Care.
Further sessions are scheduled throughout the Shire over the next 12 months, with the
next session scheduled for the Menai/Illawong area in November 2013.
